Splice opens Create beta with an in-app AI assistant
Splice launched Create in beta for macOS, combining a digital audio workstation with more than three million licensed samples and the Rheo AI assistant. Rheo can take text or voice commands to carry out production tasks or point users to the relevant controls. The app is free to use, while exporting and sample licensing require a paid plan.
SoundCloud and ElevenMusic add direct track publishing
SoundCloud and ElevenLabs have connected ElevenMusic to SoundCloud, making it the first external platform that can receive tracks directly from the generator. Uploads must follow SoundCloud's existing ownership and rights policies and will identify ElevenMusic as the creation source. The integration shortens publishing steps while preserving clear disclosure for listeners.
Avid adds six-part AI stem separation to Pro Tools
Avid has added AI stem separation to Pro Tools 2026.11 through a new Extension that can split recordings into as many as six parts: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, keys and other instruments. Users can preview separated audio and return the stems to the main session as individual tracks. The release makes the feature available across Pro Tools tiers.
