Music Ally reports that Google has expanded Spaces in Flow Music, describing it as a vibe-coding environment for custom instruments and music apps. The update adds song generation and editing for covers, replacements and extensions, alongside stem splitting and tools for images, lyrics and videos. For creators, the broader feature set moves Spaces beyond experimentation toward a more integrated AI music workflow.
ElevenLabs launched References for Music v2, allowing users to upload 10-second to five-minute tracks and guide new generations by their style, instrumentation and feel. The feature works in ElevenMusic, ElevenCreative and the API, with or without an added text prompt. ElevenLabs says uploads are checked against recordings owned by others, so creators are expected to use music they have the right to provide.
ElevenLabs released two related personalization options: Vocals can preserve a consistent uploaded voice across generated songs, while the Finetunes Music API lets developers train a private model variant on a user’s own tracks. The company says uploaded voice and music samples receive content-identification checks. For creators and music apps, the update moves generation from one-off prompting toward repeatable vocal and sonic identities.
Mubert launched Cast, an audio-first podcast editor that combines transcript-based cuts, voice cleanup, chaptering, generated music, automatic ducking and sound effects. The product exports platform-normalized audio, and paid plans can also export stems; Mubert says its generated music is licensed for use under the applicable plan. For podcasters, the update reduces the need to move between a transcript editor, audio cleaner, music library and DAW.
Suno added an iMessage keyboard extension for iOS. Users can record a voice or type lyrics, choose styles, generate a song and send it in a conversation; recipients can listen and reply with another generated song. The release does not change Suno’s music model, but it moves creation and sharing into a familiar messaging workflow, lowering the friction for quick, social song-making on mobile.
Suno updated its web lyrics editor with reusable “Lyricist” examples, natural-language rewriting, rhyme and line suggestions, a full-screen workspace, song-structure labels and autosave. The company presents the release as a faster way to draft and iterate before generation. For creators, the practical change is more control over words and structure inside Suno, with less need to write elsewhere and paste revisions back.
